Karie Kennedy

FEMA & GA State Adv. Certified Emergency Manager

On October 17, 1989, the Loma Prieta earthquake tore through the Bay Area. Founder Karie Kennedy was in Oakland when the earth moved — and that moment moved her, too.

What she witnessed wasn't just destruction. It was the devastating cost of being unprepared. The chaos. The helplessness. The lives changed in sixty-three seconds. That experience lit a fire that has never gone out.

Gray Sky Crisis Agency was built from that fire — with the mission to ensure that individuals, organizations, and communities never face a crisis without a plan. Readiness is the greatest act of leadership.
